Lost in Translation

I am on my way out of China today, headed for Mongolia. I thought I would leave you with some fun signs and other Chinese-English, or Chinglish, I learned while in Beijing...

This sign was on the door of the subway car. I guess they are pretty serious about closing the doors here.

This next one was over the stairs on the way out of the supermarket. I guess it is a direct translation of the Chinese. For those with bad eyes or small monitors, it says, "LOOKOUT, KNOCK HEAD." As someone that thinks people falling downstairs is funny, I had to laugh when I saw this. The picture makes it all the better.

This sign on the Great Wall has its heart in the right place, but leaves me a little confused. It says, "Heart cerebral disease sufferer, ascend the Great Wall to please watch for."

Sometimes, the clothing is just as confusing, I happen to be an expert at translating English into English and even I can't understand this one. In case you can't read this, the shirt says, "PEACE&LOVE It snidos at him this year." Ummm, can anyone translate that for me?

This one is not in clear English either, but somehow, I still figured out what it meant.

It just goes to show that the important things always come through.
