Rundale Palace was built in the 1730's as a summer residence for a duke. After it was absorbed into the Russian empire, this home was given by Catherine the Great to Prince Zubov, her "advisor" (a.k.a. lover) .
Are you in the market for a new home? Please allow me to give you a tour.
The driveway. Ample parking -- no worries when the neighbors throw a party.

The front lawn. Very low maintenance.

Do you entertain much? This is perfect for dinner parties!

Just look at the lovely painted details.
A spare ballroom. You never know when you'll need one.
You just can't find workmanship like this in newer homes.

Plenty of display space.
It's move-in ready!

This home is a work of art.

If it's not exactly your style, don't worry; wall paper is EASY to remove!

Just look at these parkay floors!
I can ask the owner if he'll throw in the furniture.

This study can be used as a home office.

And another study. I think this house has about 14 studies.

It has a finished basement.

Complete with statuary.

Wait till you see the backyard!

It's great for throwing barbecues!

And the gardens.
With a shed for the gardener that you will surely hire.

There is plenty of privacy, away from the next door neighbors.

Just imagine your family in this lovely home.

So, should I draw up the paperwork?

Or will you be needing a drive in the countryside to think about it?

It's great to see the new updates! But I'll be Mom & let you know that the floors are "parquet".
To be honest, I debated about how to spell that word, but that is not one of the spellings I tried. I guess that will teach me not to use google as my spell checker. :)
