Since I have arrived in Estonia, I have felt a sense of longing... a longing for adventure, exotic locales, spicy foods, and unfamiliar sights. I keep finding myself thinking, "Great place to live, wouldn't want to visit here." This is not to say that Europe isn't a great place to visit, but it's just too familiar. At this point in my travels, I want to see things that require more effort, and return greater rewards in terms of personal fulfillment. This place won't be any different in 10 more years. It is a place that can wait. At this point I want to try to catch things that will be different in the coming years. My new motto is "see it before they ruin it."
My original plan was to spend three months in Europe, but between my desire to see something less familiar and the strength of the euro, which is costing me a fortune, I will be cutting this portion short (maybe 1.5 months) and heading elsewhere.
