L'vivin' for Today

I decided L'viv might be a good city to just walk around and enjoy the setting, rather than looking for specific sites. It has a very European feel to it, but there are still indications of the Soviet influence. It's an interesting town.

I started with lunch at a restaurant down a dead-end street. While I ate, I noticed people coming by to look at the art/graffiti on the walls surrounding the place. It turns out that it is recommended in the guidebooks for the surroundings. So, here is some of that art work.

Then, I just wandered, checking out the architecture. Some of the buildings have been renovated and painted, but others still have their tan/grey hue.

Then on to the market to see what the local handicrafts look like. I spotted this woman playing with a stray cat in the middle of the market and just thought it was cute.
More of L'viv tomorrow.

Love the kitty, of course - wish you had a closer one. Also wish you had a closer one of the floral art work!
