Wawel-head

Wawel hill in Krakow is covered by a castle containing an armory, a catherdal, and some renaissance residences. It has been continuously added to since the 9th century and is the coronation place of most Polish monarchs.

The outside...

The courtyard (cathedral in the background, slightly obscured)...

You can climb the cathedral tower, and by now you know I can't resist a good tower climb.

Then on to the residences.

Back at the town square, I finally walked around to the town hall side.

And found this cool statue. No, I don't know what it means; I just liked it.

I found yet another lovely coffee shop -- they are getting fancy here.

Across the street is the one we went to two days ago, as well as one that uses old school desks as their outdoor seating.

We were all leaving town, so we met for dinner at a nice French place.
Goodbye, ladies!
